The 2017 Half-Marathon is part of the Ohio Challenge Series and the Allied Machine and Engineering Tuscarawas Valley Challenge.

KIDS' RUN

The Kids’ Run is a fun event for the little ones that follows a short course inside Tuscora Park. This is a free event with no registration required. All participants will receive a ribbon and lots of applause and cheers at the finish line. The run will begin at 9:45 AM on Saturday, April 1 near the park pavilion.


SUPER FITNESS 10th Anniversary 10K

The race starts at 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 1 in Tuscora Park.

ONE-MILE FUN RUN / WALK

The one-mile fun run / walk is a fun event for participants of all ages. All participants receive a t-shirt. Awards will be presented for the top overall finishers and ribbons for top three in each age group (No times will be posted). The route will take participants through and around Tuscora Park. The run will begin at 10:10 AM on Saturday, April 1 near the park pavilion.

HALF-MARATHON

The race starts at 11:00 AM on Sunday, April 2 in Tuscora Park and winds its way on a certified course through the streets and parks of New Philadelphia before finishing inside Woody Hayes Quaker Stadium in Tuscora Park. Finishers will receive a medal.

Half-Marathon Age groups: 13 and under, 14-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44,45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 69-70, 70-74, 75 & over.

Awards for the top three overall female and male finishers and top three in each age group. Awards will be presented at the finish line.

The course will be open for 3-1/2 hours.

THREE PERSON TEAM RELAY

The Union Hospital Run for Home includes a three-person team relay that follows the certified 13.1 mile half-marathon route and starts at 11:00 AM on Sunday, April 2. The course will be open for 3-1/2 hours.

Awards will be presented to the top five teams in each of three divisions: Male, Female, and Coed. All team members completing the route will receive medals.

The first leg of the relay is approximately 3.5 miles and will end at the corner of 2nd Street and Race Street in Dover near Brickhouse Gym. The second leg is approximately 4 miles and will end at Crater Stadium in Dover. The final leg of the relay is approximately 5.6 miles and will finish inside Quaker Stadium in Tuscora Park.

A shuttle bus service will be available for relay runners. The shuttle bus will make two or three trips to the relay points before the race and then pick up runners after they have completed their leg of the race to take competitors back to Tuscora Park. Shuttle bus seating is limited and not guaranteed!

FIVE-MILE WALK

A recreational event for individuals and families designed to promote a healthy lifestyle and support Habitat for Humanity. The five-mile walk will start with the half-marathon and team-relay at 11:00 AM and follow a portion of the half-marathon route before finishing inside Tuscora Park near the park pavilion. All participants receive a t-shirt. The 2017 walk will be a timed event and awards will be presented to the top three male and top three female finishers. To be eligible for an award, participants must walk the entire route. To assist observers on the course, walkers must wear bib numbers on both their back and front.
